Multiflight Ltd has taken delivery of a
BBJ2 - the latest and biggest Boeing Business Jet - which
is fitted out with a luxury interior to carry 19
passengers. Total cost was in the region of
$60 million.
Multiflight took delivery of the new BBJ2
on 1st July 2003. Upon its arrival, David Hood, founder and
chairman of Multiflight said, "The aircraft has a typical
range of 5,400 miles.
We will be able to fly our clients anywhere in the world with
a maximum of just two fuel stops. This aircraft can be classed
as a flying hotel/flying boardroom,
and at the destination it can act as a ground
conference center"
Multiflight's Managing Director, Steve Borrowdale
said, "Facilities include a master
bedroom with two
lounges, a wide
screen cinema

with 'surround sound'
(in both cabins) and a dining
area in both cabins. The BBJ2 also has two
luxurious bathrooms,
one of which has a spacious
shower. An extra large galley area means a
la carte fresh food can be cooked to cordon
bleu standard aboard the aircraft. There is a huge choice
of films and music at each individual seat and access to phone
and fax, and through personal laptops
to the Internet. Great attention has been
paid to reducing cabin noise
throughout as this is seen as one of the most tiring aspects
of long-range travel."
Multiflight's
BBJ2 will be operated by Executive Jet Charter Ltd
and certificated under European JAR
Operations rules.
